Smart Pedestrian Crossing System is an innovative system for the safe crossing of pedestrians, which offers automatic recognition of their presence. The Smart Crossing detects the pedestrians who intent to cross the roadway through an advanced system of sensors that activate the LEDs embedded in the road surface, on the signs and also activate the sound alert.

The Intelligent Pedestrian Crossing System, can accurately detect the movement of pedestrians when they cross the pedestrian to activate the sound alert system and the lighting system, which are powered by either solar energy or electricity.

The lighting system shall consist of the following:

The pedestrian sign with LED lighting.
The integrated road studs, which will flash simultaneously when a pedestrian crosses the pedestrian.
A projector which will illuminate the crossing.

These systems warn drivers to be more aware of the presence of pedestrians at the pedestrian and to slow down to give pedestrians priority to cross safely.
